Artist Statement~
Although I explore many different ideas within my art, it seems that the conclusion in the end always results in what began as quiet thoughts, transformed into tangible objects.

You never know!  I have so many influences and interests stemming from the history of art imbedded in me that this mixed confusion of thoughts, ideas and memories begin to align into a jumbled variation of insistent cohesive review.  Old and new work spanning several years become equivalent.  My somewhat unsettled approach would demonstrate an assemblage of my version of what art is all about.

Why bother?  Because the need to create is more than just a fundamental part of being human.
By working in 3D and 2D, I have the ability to convey both me as complex artist and also show that the history of art is rooted in an outright need to create and satisfy my assorted interests – letting my sculptures and paintings communicate out loud what was once a pile of quiet parts.

Wall Sculpture | Wood, Square Nails, Steel, Duck Decoy, Aged Cotton Cloth, Cord, Mirror | $2,500

This wall sculpture began with a duck decoy.  Gradually, like all his works, this piece would take on a life of it's own, 'guiding the maker as to what should be added'.  Traditionally, each nail that has been embedded represents something unique.  The mirror  in the central portion of the sculpture plays a prominent role, allowing the audience to see into themselves, bringing an additional perspective as they are viewing.
